Mary Calhoun
Author detail
Reverend Mary Calhoun was a longtime wedding officiant and friend to many. Mary was born in Ephrata, Washington, and lived in Shoreline with her husband, Harry Keinath. Since her ordination as an interfaith minister in 1993, her mission has been to honor all religious and spiritual wedding traditions. In 1984, Mary founded one of Seattle's first event planning companies. This experience, combined with two decades of performing diverse ceremonies, enabled Mary to develop the seamless techniques that make her weddings so revered. She was *Seattle Bride*'s best officiant from 2010-2019, and was renowned for her personalized wedding ceremonies and the care she took to get to know each couple she worked with. Mary was the author of *The Distinctive Wedding Ceremony*. She also ran a devotions course for engaged couples.
