Otto F. von Feigenblatt is a Costa Rican academic and public intellectual currently based in South Florida. He holds a B.S. in Asia Pacific Studies from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Beppu, Japan) and an M.A. in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University (Bangkok, Thailand)and is currently pursuing A Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). He is the author of "Japan and Human Security" and of "Human Security in the Asia Pacific Region: Security Challenges, Regional Integration, and Representative Case Studies" published by YKING BOOKS, Jaipur, India. His research has appeared in academic journals such as the Ritsumeikan Journal of Asia Pacific Studies, the Journal of Contemporary Literature, Infinity Journal, the Journal of Law and Conflict Resolution, inter alia. Currently, he is serving as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Alternative Perspectives in the Social Sciences. His research deals with alternative security paradigms and international development in the Asia Pacific Region. Otto F. von Feigenblat was recently elected Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland for his contribution to Asia Pacific Studies and has served as a Guest Lecturer of Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Lynn University (Boca Raton, Florida).
