Elinor Ostrom obtuvo el Premio Nobel de Economía en 2009 y fue Arthur F. Bentley Professor de Ciencias Políticas y Senior Research Director del Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis en la Universidad de Indiana, así como fundadora y directora del Center for the Study of Institutional Diversity en la Universidad de Arizona.
