Lukas Geisler is pursuing a master's degree in political theory in Frankfurt am Main, is a political activist and works as a freelance journalist. Previously, he studied philosophy and political science with a focus on migration, flight and social participation as well as the regional focus on North Africa and Western Asia in Erlangen and Cairo. At the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, he is involved in the working group for critical flight and migration research and has been a scholarship holder since 2019. He publishes his column "Grenzräume" in MiGAZIN and his non-fiction debut with the title "Die Willkommensgesellschaft. A concrete utopia" was published in October 2022 by oekom Verlag. Zuvor studierte er Philosophie und Politikwissenschaften mit Schwerpunkt auf Migration, Flucht und gesellschaftlicher Teilhabe sowie dem regionalen Fokus auf Nordafrika und Westasien in Erlangen und Kairo. In der Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung engagiert er sich im Arbeitskreis für kritische Flucht und Migrationsforschung und ist seit 2019 Studienstipendiat. Seine Kolumne »Grenzräume« publiziert er im MiGAZIN und sein Sachbuchdebüt mit dem Titel »Die Willkommensgesellschaft. Eine konkrete Utopie« erschien im Oktober 2022 beim oekom Verlag.
