Mr. Thomsen appeared on Broadway in the 30's and 40's in several plays, including ''Valley Forge,'' ''Let Freedom Ring,'' ''Western Waters,'' ''Jeremiah'' and ''Mamba's Daughters,'' in 1940. For a time, he was stage manager for Cheryl Crawford. His own plays were ''Carriage Trade,'' based on a novel by him, and ''Hull House.'' He wrote scripts for the television series ''Topper'' and many short stories in collaboration with George Bradshaw. His nonfiction books were ''Games, Anyone,'' ''Questions, Anyone'' and ''Bill W.,'' a 1975 biography of William G. Wilson, founder of Alcoholics Anonymous. During World War II, Mr. Thomsen was an ambulance driver in Beirut, Lebanon, for the American Field Service Committee. Partner of [George Bradshaw](/authors/OL1872685A/George_Bradshaw).
