Jane Greverus Perry, an economist, was married to John Perry. She came to Washington as a congressman's secretary and thereafter held senior posts in several executive agencies and presidential commissions. Together she and John hiked, backpacked, canoed, camped, and cruised in all 50 states, and wrote more than 14 books and produced 24 educational filmstrips, chiefly on natural history and ecology. They moved to Winter Haven, Florida from their long term home in Washington, DC. They held various offices in county Sierra Club and Audubon Society Groups and the Coalition for the Environment. From "About the Authors" entry in _Exploring the Forest_, page 192: Mrs. Perry has been on the staffs of the Outdoor Recreation Resources Review Commission and the President's Water Resources Policy Commission. She and John collaborated to prepare _Resources Report to Industry_ for The Conservation Foundation.
