Eloise Bruce
Eloise Bruce was born in Opelika, Alabama. She received a Masters degree in directing from the University of Alabama, an Masters degree in Secondary English from Mercer University, and a bachelors degree in Theater from Wesleyan College. She has attended a Sarah Lawrence College's Writer's Workshop. In 1998, she received New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship in Poetry. She has published poetry in several literary journals. She worked in theater, and has adapted over 20 works of children's literature for the stage. She serves on the advisory board for The Frost Place Festival of Poetry in Franconia, New Hampshire. She is a teaching artist for New Jersey Writer’s Project and a middle school and high school for the arts. She lives with her husband in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
