**Marlisa Szwillus** wurde die Liebe zum Kochen in die Wiege gelegt, denn ihre Eltern legen großen Wert auf gutes Essen und die beste Qualität der Lebensmittel. So wuchs die Freude am Kochen und Genießen. Aus dem Hobby wurde Berufung; Studium der Oecotropholgie, dann Redaktion im Kochressort einer großen Frauenzeitschrift. Im Anschluß daran leitete sie mehrere Jahre lang das Kochressort der größten deutschen Food- und Haushaltszeitschrift. Seit 1993 ist sie als freie Food-Journalistin und Kochbuchautorin tätig.
