Tim Green
Green, Tim
Tim Green grew up on a farm in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). When Tim was only 16, his father was killed and he ran away from boarding school to help his mother run their large farm. At the age of 18, Tim was called up to serve his country and became the youngest commissioned officer in the Rhodesian army. He intended to become a farmer like his father, but after learning to fly by accident in the army, he discovered an enticing new world filled with adventure. His subsequent occupation as a charter pilot took him all over Africa, often not only as pilot, but as ranger and guide for his passengers. Later he travelled the globe for AffretAir, a freight arline company based in Harare and for Nevada Airlines in Las Vegas. His love for the written word and his natural story-telling ability evolved into writing short stories about his life experiences. On his release from Chimoio Prison, Moçambique, Tim turned his short stories into the gripping full-length story: *Acabou*. Source: About the Author, *Arabou: It's Finished* (2001)
