William Antrobus Griesbach
William Antrobus Griesbach
This is the autobiography of Canada's Major-General William Antrobus Griesbach, completed the night before he died at age 67 in January 1945. It was intended as the first volume of his memoirs, but was published posthumously under the title I Remember. It deals mainly with his life before the First World War, and contains only a few references to his activities in that conflict, the interwar period, and the Second World War. There is considerable detail about his early years growing up in Canada's Prairie frontier.
