Iris Veronica Restrepo Lopez completed her master's degree in geography at the University of Hamburg. She received her bachelor's degree with a minor in law at the universities of Kiel and Recife, Brazil. Since then, she has written about the importance of the term femicide in media discourses and philanthropic capitalist influences on urban development. In addition to her studies, she has worked in youth welfare institutions and for the Körber Foundation and is artistically active. Iris Veronica Restrepo Lopez hat ihr Masterstudium in Geographie an der Universität Hamburg absolviert. Ihren Bachelor mit Nebenfach Rechtswissenschaften erhielt sie an den Universitäten Kiel und Recife, Brasilien. Seitdem hat sie zur Bedeutung des Femizid-Begriffs in medialen Diskursen und philantrokapitalistischen Einflüssen auf die Stadtentwicklung geschrieben. Neben ihrem Studium hat sie u.a. in Jugendhilfeeinrichtungen und für die Körber-Stiftung gearbeitet und ist künstlerisch aktiv.
