B.E. (Buzz) Pruitt, Ed.D. has been a health educator for more than 30 years. He has directed major curriculum development projects related to drug-use prevention, sex education, and comprehensive health education. He presently conducts research and is a Professor of Health Education at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. Buzz has earned a B.S. in Physical Education, Biology; an M.Ed. in Health and Physical Education, Counseling and Guidance, Texas State University, San Marcos, TX (1971); and an Ed.D. in Administration of Higher Education, Health Education, University of North Texas, Denton, TX (1975). Buzz won the "2002 AAHE Professional Service Award" from the American Association for Health Education, as well as having received honors from numerous other organizations. He is an active member of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (AAHPERD) and the American School Health Association. He is also the founder and president of the Health Education Foundation of Texas.
