Robin Bruce Lockhart
Robin Bruce Lockhart was the son of British diplomat, spy, author, and broadcaster Robert Hamilton Bruce Lockhart. He attended the Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, then received a degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge. He married Margaret Crookdake in 1941. In 1946 he became the foreign manager of the Financial Times. In 1953, he and his wife divorced, and he became manager of Beaverbrook Newspapers. In 1960 he became a member of the London Stock Exchange. In 1965 he published his first book, Half Way to Heaven. In 1987, he married Eila McLean.
