When Ruby, an artists trespasses into a beautiful garden she is discovered by Ben, the owner. They fall in love and announce their engagement. Ruby finds inspiration for her painting while Ben embarks upon an investigation into the old temple on the lake. But this idyll is soon disrupted by Charlie, Ben's lodger, and George, his gardener.
