Adrian Wilson's (1923-1988) letter, dated 27 May 1957, to fellow printer Jack Stauffacher, spoke of working for the University of California Press, his house on Telegraph Hill at the end of Tuscany Alley and its views, and the recent deaths of other printers. Stauffacher's epilogue included a quote from Eric Gill on the small craftsman's pursuit of quality.
