Guido Comis, Bettina Della Casa, Paul Klee, Fausto Melotti
More than eighty paintings, watercolors and drawings by Paul Klee (1879-1940), one of the most representative painters of the 1900s, are compared to just as many sculptures by Fausto Melotti (1901-1986), a leading figure in the Italian art scene of the twentieth century, and the subject of great international interest in recent years. The works by these two artists give rise to a surprising dialogue: this catalogue, divided into chapters on specific themes, brings to light the artists' common interests - music and literature first and foremost - and their stylistic similarities. Several critical texts analyze the visual relationship between Klee and Melotti, while writings by contemporary artists highlight the modernity of their language.
