This is a substantial book based on the actual written memoirs of one of the most famous and highly decorated WWII Bomber pilots, Guy Gibson. It details his career through the RAF, in his own words. Becoming a Lancaster pilot and his eventual lead role in the famous and successful Dambuster Raid on the Ruhr Valley Dams in Germany. He unfortunately never got to finish his wartime memoirs as he was killed on a mission in September of 1944
