Patricia Wentworth
Wentworth's extremely scarce third novel, a work of intrigue and adventure set during the Indian Mutiny of 1857 in which an English couple escapes from the massacre at Cawnpore to the Indian countryside. Wentworth, best known for her mystery novels and series character Miss Silver, began her literary career with three romances before turning to the mystery genre. This title is the third such romance: the second work published in 1911, Little More Than Kin, is absent from any current catalogue of her works.
