The picture with a caption "Têtes de Pirates décapités" (page 264) is a strong motivator for the author to reprint the book with a French translation to tell the French that they owe the Vietnamese people an apology when they defamed 13 Vietnamese heroes of the Việt Nam Quốc Dân Đảng (The Vietnam Nationalist Party) against the French colonial in Vietnam who were decapitated on June 17, 1930 in Yên Bái as pirates.
