Book detail
This book consists of the biographies of eight leaders in the Mennonite Brethren Church of the 20th century. They were Bible teachers, ministers, and missionaries whose lives intersected with the life of the author at various points. David Ewert tells their stories because he is convinced that they have left a rich spiritual legacy that can inspire and enrich the lives of the present generation. The stories are not only stories of the particular individuals, however. Interlaced are important elements of the stories of the wives and children who were not adequately recognized for their role in the ministry of the men. Furthermore, the biographies of these men tell us much about the nature of the Mennonite Brethren Church during the era of their leadership.
