Marjorie Knight
This fantasy is about two little girls, Monica and Gwynne, who follow their cat Tinker around the garden corner one day and have a series of topsy-turvy adventures with the animals and a pixie in the forest. The cats who live in a tree house collect handkerchiefs brought to them by the crows. When one day the hankies disappear, there is a great row until Snow, the head cat, says she has been sending them back and thinks they should rename their place "the land of found handkerchiefs."
