The texts gathered here are meant to add up to a sampler of studies in modern anglophone poetry. For the authors of these eleven papers, who belong to eight different nations will, demonstrate a great variety of academic styles, methods and traditions. These articles reflect a general tendency in literary studies of the early twenty-first century, which is even more perceptible, perhaps in poetry studies; that is a resolute movement towards a recontextualisation of poems and poets.
