The Catholic parish of Killeigh was made up of the greater parts of the civil parishes of Geashill and Ballykean in County Offaly. The two civil parishes have been combined to make the present civil parish of Killeigh. There are five churches in the present parish: St. Mary's Church of Ireland, Geashill, and a chapelry at Killeigh; Catholic churches of St. Patrick (Killeigh), St. Joseph (Ballinagar), and St. Mary (Raheen).
