Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy. Institute for Affordable Housing Policy
Given the importance of credit availability to ensuring an adequate supply of, and broad access to, affordable single-family and multi-family housing, the Furman Center's Institute for Affordable Housing Policy (IAHP) identified a need to question assumptions regarding the current state of the mortgage market and the housing finance system. To inform the discussion, we reviewed the historical context and current state of residential mortgage lending. This report makes Roundtable background documents available and shares highlights from the discussion to report the insights to a wider audience.
