Mario Sorrenti's brother Davide was born on July 9th, 1976, and died of complications stemming from a blood disorder on February 4th, 1997. Sorrenti, a well-known fashion photographer, movingly documents his brother's suffering over the course of one night, while Davide was hooked up to a drug infusion pump referred to by the family simply as "the machine."
