Antonella Fenech Kroke
Giorgio Vasari was one of the most interesting and prolific creators of embodiments of the sixteenth century. His allegorical figures speak the same language, rhetoric, literature and contemporary philosophy, scholar and courtier of the world which is an active Vasari. This paper aims to study the reasons and forms of exuberance that characterize this allegorical language, the first of its encoding, which begins at the end of the century, with the Iconology of Cesare Ripa.
