Moses Gaster
This book is an attempt at reconstructing the history of the Samaritan sect of Yahwism. Starting with the ancient varieties of worship locations, it traces a history by relying upon biblical texts, Samaritan documents, and Josephus as key witnesses in providing a picture of the evolution of this northern sect which sprang from the same origins as modern Judaism.
