An Italian social dance manual written by a Modena dancing master. While French dance positions are described, a section is devoted to the Italian Waltz (p. 31-38), as well as a section on Italian dances of the past "Le Glorioise Rimembranza Italiana" and a section on new and current Italian social dances: "La Nuova Contradanza Italiana" (p. 51-62). The three folding plates, lithographed by Ferrari of Modena, show the complicated, almost balletic positions of these social dances.
