In it, McQueen provocatively explores the relationship between industry and education, comments about recent developments in both sectors, and suggests necessary changes including reform of School Certificate. With New Zealand's economic recovery at stake, this book argues for more emphasis upon skills during the compulsory years, a post-school training culture and wider access to higher education.
