Novel. Angela Hernández Núñez (1954) is a well-known Dominican poet and fiction writer. She has won several literary awards including Premio Nacional de Cuento (1998) for Piedra del sacrificio, Premio de Novela Cole (2001) for Mudanza de los sentidos and Premio Nacional de Poesía (2005) for Alicornio. Some of her recent works include Cuentos casi extraños (2007), Charamicos (novela, 2003), Metáfora del cuerpo en fuga (novela, 2006), La secta del crisantemo (short stories, 2013).
