This is a captivating story about a young girl named Tambudzai. She is very anxious to know about the mysterious life of an old woman called Chaitezvi who lives alone in a village of Chimanimani in Zimbabwe. Chaitezvi is suspected to be a witch. Tambudzai's parents forbid her to visit the old woman. One day she manages to visit Chaitezvi on her way from the well and is terribly shocked by what she sees.
