What has the Asian economic miracle offered to women in Malaysia - a second-generation newly industrializing country (NIC)? Representing a journey of some fifteen years, this anthology traces the changing position of Malaysian women as the country is transformed from an agrarian economy to an export-led industrial and information technology society, aspiring to lock itself into the global economy.
