Lynn Goldsmith
Photographer Lynn Goldsmith explores the world of rock and roll from the inside. Her vast body of work is a testament to her commitment to the music and while most photographers' work is a record of their assignments, "Goldsmith's" is a record of her life. Beginning in the late 1960's, she plunged into the scene, filming concerts, directing documentaries, launching her own music career and befriending artists (sometimes co-writing songs with the), all the while taking brilliant photographs. Equally at home in the portrait studio and shooting reportage, she compiled an unparalleled portfolio of hard-to-get images. Her range has been amazing - whether the subject was punk, alternative, commercial pop or the rarefied world of the superstars of rock, Goldsmith has rare and unusual photographs.
