Jones
Jones Very (1813-1880) was an American Transcendentalist poet whom Ralph Waldo Emerson admired. Unlike many of the Transcendentalists, however, Very was considered a "mystic" and many of his poems exhibit a deep religious consciousness. This volume contains "Scenes from History" which are short dramatic verses, along with essays and lyrical works.
