"This Primer is an attempt to develop a special vocabulary for themes related to building using examples taken from the oeuvre of Haus-Rucker-Co and Ortner & Ortner. To achieve this end it goes beyond the mere documentary value and aims at achieving general applicability to central themes of building as an art. This investigation of special qualities can also be regarded as a contribution to linking building in general with divergent themes. The fact that three authors with very different backgrounds undertake the definition of such a vocabulary also represents a kind of cross-referencing critique.
