Dust of practically all combustible materials can produce violent explosions if the particals are suspended in air in certain variable concentrations and ignited. Summaries of explosions of the more commons dusts will be found on pages 1 - 29 of this book and a tabulation of causes, casualties and property damage for all dust explosions since 1860 reported to the NFPA will be found on pages 30 - 79.
