Salvador Rueda Smithers, Carlos Méndez Domínguez
Independence hero José María Morelos y Pavón was born in Valladolid (now Morelia, Michoacán) in 1765 and was executed by firing squad in San Cristóbal Ecatepec (State of Mexico) in 1815. Through 250 pieces belonging to the National Museum of History and various other institutions, this exhibition not only commemorates the initial events and end of his biography, it also commemorates 50 years of the life of the man who envisioned a nation's future.
