R. A. J. Walling
A Tolefree Mystery. In a sparsely inhabited area, a man is found shot to death in his "study." His death is ruled a homicide but the man's solicitor doesn't feel satisfied with the verdict, and so sends a request to Philip Tolefree to come and review the situation. Confronted with overly discreet lawyers and suspects, Tolefree is forced to build up a murder charge out of almost nothing -- but he is equal to the challenge and presents a tight solution.
