Stephanie Cooke
<p>Stephanie Cooke has covered the nuclear industry for almost thirty years, beginning her reporting career in 1977 at the Associated Press. In 1980 she moved to McGraw-Hill in New York as an associate editor for the industry newsletters <em>Nucleonics Week, NuclearFuel</em> and <em>Inside N.R.C.,</em> later becoming chief editor. In 1984 she transferred to London and two years later covered the aftermath of the Chernobyl accident for <em>Business Week</em> and <em>NucleonicsWeek.</em> She is currently an editor of <em>Uranium Intelligence Weekly,</em> and a contributor to <em>The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists.</em></p> <p><em>Kirkus Reviews</em> calls her book <em>In Mortal Hands</em> "Skillful, unsettling arguments that the world is headed toward nuclear disaster."</p>
