Two London playwrights, are seeking characters for a play. But when they travel to Wales for inspiration they find more than they bargained for. They arrive in Llanberis and are forced to stay at 'The Crooked Inn'. Then, as they face some disparate characters, and The Crooked Inn's connections to the gaol-break of a murderer, they become involved in a real-life drama of murder and mystery.
