Thomas Lowy, Cristina Bausero, Carlos Muñoz, Manuel Neves, Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes Juan Manuel Blanes
This present catalogue comprises a small selection of works from the extensive production of Thomas Lowy (Montevideo 1947) created between 2007 and 2018. The case of Thomas Lowy from the late 1960œs to the present is doubly unique; first, because his activity in the field of Uruguayan culture is extensive, diverse and dispersed and transcends the space of visual arts, both in the private public activity fields. Secondly, his scarcely known facet as a visual artist makes his extensive production known only to his closest friends and unknown to the general public. Lowy is a leading figure in graphic design and art direction in advertising agencies and cultural agent throughout his political career. This is his first exhibition at 71 years of age.
