Beate Teresa Hanika
An Apricot tree grows in an old Viennese garden. Since her childhood in the 1940's Elisabetta makes preserves from the fruit every summer. Each time she goes down to the cellar for the glasses the memories of her life, her family murdered in Dachau, her great love Franz, her daughter Esther and granddaughter Rahel. She lives with the voices of the past until a German dancer, Pola, moves in and changes her life.
