Paul A. Dowling, Alan LaGarde
(Producer) When three letter bombs explode in Salt Lake City, police investigate the reasons for the bombings and the identity of the bomber. They examine structural damage caused by the third bomb, a car bomb, and the physical damage done to its victim, Mark Hofmann. They suspect Hofmann of all three bombings, but need further proof. A forensic document expert is brought in to examine the authenticity of documents that Hofmann has been selling to Mormon clients, killed in the first two bombings. The documents are revealed as forgeries, and Hofmann is charged with the bombings, which he perpetrated to cover up his illegal activities.
