NORC (Organization), Roper Center for Public Opinion Research
The General Social Survey is an ongoing regular personal interview survey of U.S. households conducted by NORC (National Opinion Research Center). The first survey was done in 1972 and since then more than 35,000 respondents have answered over 2900 different questions. The survey measures the direction of American attitudes, experiences, practices, and concerns.
