John Marquez, acting as an undercover agent, investigates the illegal killing of sturgeon. The very profitable trade in caviar leads him to the Russian mafia, who deal in things much more dangerous than fish eggs. This eco-thriller pushes the tough and sensitive Marquez to the limit.
