German light artist Mischa Kuball's Solidarity Grid (2013-2016) is a public artwork based on the act of giving and the positive symbolism of light. A streetlamp from 21 cities from around the world was gifted to Christchurch after the earthquakes as a gesture of solidarity during the recovery and rebuild process.
