The profession of agronomist responds to the needs of the Humanity's growing food. To do this, agronomists are constantly working to find new agricultural technical productions and new varieties of plants that allow farmers all over the world to increase their performance. They have to work also to improve conditions for farm animals for some increase production and income of farmers. Some cases they have to handle the processing of preservation, marketing of agricultural products, etc.. Agronomists do not always have their true place in society. Compared to other professions (medicine, engineering, right, etc..), it is often regarded as inferior in many places. The professionals of this science (Agronomy) are often clad in coarse qualifiers: "Big shoes", "narrow-minded intellectuals," "bureaucrats" ... "Le métier d'agronome" is this book that attempts to answer all these questions. For some, it is a "sociological reflection of the profession of agronomy. For others, it is a "plea" for the recovery or reclamation of this profession. Thus, this book is a work of "reference" from "extension" and "awareness" on the choice of a trade or profession. Whatever your field, you is strongly recommended to read it. NB/ Google translation of the "fourth cover page". Sorry for some imperfections. AP 06/22/2010
