Sam North
Nio, a shy, second-generation Greek lad who lives in a shack in St Pancras Cemetery, is wooing 15-year-old Mila, a Romanian Gypsy and illegal immigrant whose family home is a set of caravans outside a retail park. Nio is trying to make a career as a landscape artist, while Mila, dressed like a "funky Britney" with a cellphone, uses false papers to get a job on the tills at Tesco. She wants more, better, now - and so is attractive prey to the male predators who are constantly circling around her.
