Reed, Terry
Behrman was a well-respected dramatist and screenwriter the first part of the 1930s and 1940s. Interestingly he is probably best known today for his nonfiction work on art dealer Duveen and author Max Beerbolm. Behrman was a gadfly, socializing with the great wits and intellectuals of his time. This volume by Professor Reed is a short biography of the man, addressing many of Behrman's works. Its primary benefit is that it may introduce people to the sheer variety of Behrman's fiction, nonfiction, screenplays, and memiors.
