Jamie Russell, a Confederate war hero, returns home to escort his sister Emma to the island city of Galveston, Texas, before returning to the battlefield, but when he reports back to camp after leaving Emma with their aunt, he learns Union soldiers have taken over Galveston and he must return to rescue his sister before it is too late.
